ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers): ASCAP is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization (PRO) that protects its members' musical copyrights by monitoring public performances of their music, whether via a broadcast or live performance, and compensating them accordingly.

AFM (American Federation of Musicians): AFM is the largest union organization in the world representing the interests of professional musicians. They accomplish this by negotiating fair agreements, protecting ownership of recorded music, securing benefits such as health care and pension, and lobbying legislators.

Harvard Department of Music: The Harvard University Department of Music is devoted to the study and practice of music, and exists to provide a first-rate musical education that gives students advanced skills in music as well as knowledge of music history and repertory. Collaboration, creativity, scholarship and musicianship all figure prominently in the department's mission and practice.

HLS RAP (Harvard Law School Recording Artist Project): The Recording Artists Project (RAP) is a student practice organization at Harvard Law School providing pro bono legal assistance on music business endeavors. To that end, RAP offers pro bono counsel in such matters as copyright and trademark registration, sample clearances, and the negotiation and drafting of contracts related to music production, management, performance, licensing and merchandising.
